HUG A TREE

Hug and talk to the tree. Caress its bark shamelessly and feel all its curvatures. Be aware of its majestic stature and longevity, and invigorate yourself with its energy.

MAKE WEIRD SOUNDS WITH YOUR MOUTH

If you have ever paid attention, children often entertain themselves by making weird sounds, which are usually monosyllabic utterances.

They also do that to self-soothe, so try it out .

SHAKE YOUR BODY WHILE BLOWING A RASPBERRY

Shake off the tension by shaking your limbs together and blowing a raspberry. This exercise should be done standing up to allow you to shake every part of your body.

SHIMMY UP!

This one might only interest the ladies, because it involves a belly dance move (although guys, this could be good for you too).

Stand with your feet a few inches from one another. Relax your knees, slightly bend the right knee while the left leg stays straight, then bend the left knee while the right leg stays straight. The quick succession of knee bends makes your body vibrate, especially the hip area, which has a relaxing effect.

TWIST YOUR FINGERS

If you have flexible joints in your fingers, then you are able to twist them in various ways ,. The more you twist them, the more relaxed you feel.

For those of you who don’t have flexible joints, you can use both hands to fold your fingers or simply stretch them as much as possible.

MAKE FACES

Let yourself go and stretch your facial muscles to the max. Making funny faces in front of a mirror or even outside helps relieve the tension in your face. You will yourself feeling more relaxed afterward.

If children do it and enjoy it, there is something to it, so let your inner child step in the forefront.
