Chaos is a state of utter confusion or disorder. Living in such a state implies lacking organization and order for and with oneself. Although we naturally stay away from chaos, some of us appear to thrive on it and unconsciously search for it; they are “addicted” to chaos.

4 Do you tend to underestimate how long things take – by half or more?

5 Do you frequently pay late fees on credit cards, mortgage payments, or library books?

6 Do you break up or threaten a break up with a mate often?

7 Are you usually the one who starts fights?

8 Have you had more than one “accident” in the last 30 days, like spilling red wine, shrinking a dry-clean only cashmere sweater or a just a little fender bender?

9 Are you struggling with your sleep or weight?

10 Do you have trouble finding things like your car keys, your glasses, or your children?

11 When you argue, do you ever break things or knock them over?

12 Do you ruminate about your financial situation?

13 Do you find yourself saying?, “When things slow down, I’m going to…exercise, get more sleep, take better care of myself…”

14 Do you make time for self-care?

15 Do you spend time out in nature?

16 Are you able to relax when you’re at home?


If you answered YES to 8 or more of these questions, you are experiencing a high level of chaos in your life and might even be addicted to.
